I'm a professional creature and character artist, specializing in digital sculpture. I've been working in VFX for over 8 years. I've created creature and character work for collectible statue/toy companies like McFarlane Toys, as well as feature work including upcoming "Monster Hunter", "Hellboy", the Oscar winner - Guillermo Del Toro's "Shape of Water", "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter", "Vikings", "Strain", Marvel's "Inhumans" and others, including unannounced projects. I'm also a part time professor at Digital Animation and DVFX programs at Centennial College.
My range of specialty includes creature and character concept art, production ready sculpture and texturing, lookdev, FACS, etc.
As a Lead Character and Creature artist, I'm responsible for creating character/creature concept work for production as well as for pitches; creating highly detailed realistic production ready character/creature sculptures, textures and lookdev; creating various blendshapes - from FACS to body muscle blendshapes.
I'm a character and creature artist, responsible for look development, sculpting and painting of creatures and characters for feature.
I help students with their VFX projects (planning, modeling, rigging, rendering, compositing) as well as I teach them ZBrush.
Character concept art, character modeling and texturing, prototyping
My main responsibilities include modeling, texturing, lighting and rendering (and sometimes rigging and animation). On majority of projects I take a lead modeler/character artist role. In many instances I would get a very rough character brief or drawing and do a 3d visualization of it.
